PeakMiner 2.20.6rc1 Prelanzamiento
⚠️ Pre-release for testing. Not recommended for production rigs.
PeakMiner v2.20.6rc1
- 🐞 Quantus (QUAN) on AMD: fixes a hashrate drop on Radeon RX 400 and RX 500 series cards running an older AMD driver. Affected rigs mined at a lower rate than the same card on a recent driver, with no error shown. Cards on a recent driver were not hit by this.
- 🔧 Bug fixes for steadier running over a long session.
Nothing to configure: update the miner and both apply on their own.
No flags, defaults or flight sheet fields changed in this build. Everything else carries over unchanged from v2.20.5, including the Pearl fixes and hashrate gains on RTX 50xx.
Testing this pre-release
- 🪟 Windows: download the zip below, then run the
.batfor your coin (edit your wallet first) or the manual command inREADME.txt. - 🐧 HiveOS: build the flight sheet as usual, and set the Installation URL by hand to the RC package below. The published flight sheets still point at v2.20.5.
- ⛏️ mmpOS: add a custom miner pointing at the same
.tar.gzbelow. - 🐳 Docker:
docker pull peakminer/peakminer:2.20.6rc1(ordocker pull peakminer/peakminer:rc). Thelatesttag stays on v2.20.5. - 🐞 Found a problem? Open an issue at
https://github.com/peakminer/peakminer/issuesand say which card, OS and driver version you ran.
Most useful to report:
- QUAN on Radeon RX 400 or RX 500 series, on the driver you actually run: the hashrate next to v2.20.5 on the same card at the same clocks. Please say which driver version, since that is what this fix turns on.
- Whether a QUAN rig on those cards now reaches the rate you get on a recent driver, or still falls short.
- Whether rigs stay up and keep hashing over a long run, on any coin and any card.
- Whether accepted and invalid share counts stay where they were on v2.20.5 after a few hours of mining.
- The other coins and the NVIDIA cards should be unchanged. If anything moved either way on your rigs, that is worth reporting.
This build reports build=20261104-8ae320, so peakminer --version tells it apart from v2.20.5.
Results that show no change are just as useful as confirmations.

PeakMiner 2.20.5 Actual
PeakMiner v2.20.5
- 🐞 Pearl (PRL): fixes a crash on RTX 50xx running an older NVIDIA driver. Affected rigs went down while mining Pearl and had to be restarted. Rigs on a recent driver were not hit by this.
- ⚡ Pearl (PRL): higher hashrate on RTX 50xx.
- 🔧 Pearl (PRL): steadier hashrate over a long run on RTX 50xx, so the average your pool credits you sits closer to what the miner reports.
Nothing to configure: update the miner and all three apply on their own. No flags, defaults or flight sheet fields changed in this release.
Tested through v2.20.5rc1. This build is identical to rc1 apart from the version stamp: the Linux binary and the Windows zip are byte for byte the same files.
Everything else carries over unchanged from v2.20.4, including the Pearl and Quantus hashrate per watt gains and the Windows console stall fix.

Most useful to report:
- Whether the
plain_proofinvalid shares are gone: mine Pearl for a few hours and compare the accepted and invalid counts your pool reports against what rc1 or v2.20.1 gave you on the same rig. - If you still see any invalid share on this build, the exact reason line from the log, plus your card, OS and driver version.
- PRL on RTX 30xx, RTX 40xx and RTX 50xx: hashrate and wall power next to v2.20.1 on the same card at the same clocks, using the figure your pool's share accounting shows rather than the local readout.
- The other coins and the older cards should be unchanged. If anything moved either way on your rigs, that is worth reporting.
Note that --version on this build still prints the same build id as rc1, so check which package you installed rather than the banner.
